Are you a pro at financial modeling and have a deep understanding of financial operations?

Taekus is looking for a remote VP of Finance to join our fast-growing fintech startup. The role reports to the CEO and helps oversee financial operations, payments operations, and random financial tasks. You won’t be doing accounting but need an understanding of corporate accounting.

Note: You will be the first hire in our finance department so there will be a combination of leadership and actual implementation work.

Your Responsibilities

• Financial modeling - Building and maintaining financial reporting and projections for a $50m/yr+ company.
• A/P & A/R Management - Oversee processes for payment collection and invoice reconciliation.
• Accounting & Audit team management - We have high quality external teams managing our day-to-day operations and need help managing those relationships. You can expect to be our point of contact to ensure they have what they need.
• High-level transaction monitoring - Help with margin control on transactions and reviewing complex financial scenarios with our customers.
• Business Intelligence - building and managing core dashboards recording the key financial indicators for the business in Metabase or similar tools.
• General Financial Operations - FP&A, Regulatory compliance, treasury/cash management, and assisting the executive team with decision-making and program management.
• **Help us with our bank charter acquisition

What you bring to the table

• 5+ years of experience in finance - Banking, FP&A, or Finance related roles.
• Expert at finance modeling and excel
• Experience in revenue operations and budget management
• Versatility to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly-changing environment
• Intermediate accounting and corporate finance knowledge
• Love credit cards and/or traveling (Not required but nice to have)
